Pokémon: 10 Real Ice-Type Tattoos For Dedicated Trainers
浏览人数: 发布时间:2020-09-25 12:02

Ice is one of the 18 types of Pokémon. In all, there are 55 Pokémon that are Ice-type. Within that 55, there are 19 that are purely Ice-type and 36 that are part Ice-type.

With that information, it is also good to know that Ice is the rarest of Pokémon types. Their defense stats are known to be high, but they also have a lot of type weaknesses. Their designs range in Artic inspiration from seals to yaks and even ice cream cones.

Fans of the games and show are sometimes dedicated enough to get Pokémon tattoos. Some get tattoos particularly of Ice-types.

advertising Lapras

Tattooed by Valentin Lysander Sachs, this Lapras looks like the sort of tattoo a sailor would have in the Pokémon world.

Lapras is part Ice-type and part Water-type and was introduced in the first generation. It is a Pokémon most known for the move Surf, as it was used like a living boat to move through bodies on water.

 Snorunt Evolution Line

Instead of just getting one Pokémon, some fans get an entire evolution line. This tattoo is of Snorunt and its evolution, Glalie. The third and top Pokémon is not an evolution, but Galie's Mega-form. All are pure Ice-type.

The tattoo was done by Davide Bortolami. Other Pokémon he has tattooed include Totodile, Charmander, Lugia, Charizard, Ghastly, Haunter, Gengar, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, and Gyarados.

advertising Glaceon

Done by Cristian Carrion, this tattoo is of the Ice-type Eevee evolution, Glaceon. It was introduced along with Leafeon in the Diamond and Pearl generation.

As is typical with Eevee evolutions, the design is adorable and a fan favorite. Their designs draw inspiration from cats, dogs, and foxes. Glaceon, in particular, is quite cat-like. It's "hair" also resembles a ushanka hat, which is a creative way to give it some cold weather imagery.

advertising Articuno

Of the three legendary birds of the first generation, there is Articuno. It an Ice and Flying-type, and is quite iconic due to being the mascot for Team Mystic in Pokémon Go. It is also quite beautiful in design, looking almost like a blue phoenix.

This tattoo was done by Sam Blue from House of Color Tattoo. It is not unusual for such tattoos to show crystals around Articuno like this one does.

advertising Dewgong

Dewgong is known as the sea lion Pokémon and as been around since the first generation. Like Lapras, is is also a Pokémon that is part Water and part Ice-type. This tattoo, done by Mary Madsen, shows a Dewgong in water with bubbles.

Other Pokémon tattoos she has done include Cloyster, Blastoise, Sandsrew, Machoke, Rhydon, Charmander, Kingler, Slowbro, and Snorlax.

Pastel Gore Glaceon

Any two people can have a tattoo of the same kind of Pokémon, but still be quite different. Take this Glaceon as an example and compare it to the other Glaceon tattoos. It is very unique!

The tattoo was done by Brando Chiesa from Italy. His tattoos are often in pastel colors with cute details, but also have a more mature take on cute anime characters. This Glaceon, for example, is in cute bows but also looks fierce.

advertising Alolan Vulpix And Ninetails

Done by Tom Ruki, this thigh tattoo has both Vulpix and its evolution, Ninetails. These two are actually region variants that were introduced in the Sun and Moon generation. Originally, Vulpix and Ninetails are Fire-types that were introduced in Kanto.

Ninetails and Vulpix were always fan favorites, so everyone welcomed these region variants with open arms. They are also quite similar in design, just white and fluffier.

Articuno And Crystals

The legendary birds are always popular tattoo ideas for Pokémon fans. After all, bird tattoos are popular in general. Among the three legendary birds though, Articuno may be the most popular due to its cool color and long elegant tail.

This tattoo in particular was done by Bill-PC. They share a lot of their work on Reddit and have done other interesting Pokémon tattoos such as a clone Charizard from the first Pokémon movie.

advertising Ice Cream Lapras

Ice-types go with cold food, like ice cream! This cute little tattoo was done by Las Vegas tattooist, Alex Strangler. It is Lapras with a scoop of what appears to be strawberry ice cream with sprinkles.

Strangler does a lot of pop culture oriented tattoos and does other fan tattoos like the Power Puff Girls, Star Wars, Care Bears, Monsters Inc., Adventure Time, The Little Mermaid, and Hello Kitty.

Alolan Vulpix

If it is not already obvious from the style, this is another Pokémon tattoo done by the talented Brando Chiesa. It is of an Alolan Vulpix. The details include little Fire-type Vulpix running around, what appears to be a Gameboy Color, and a Ice Stone.

Ice Stone is the method used to evolve an Alolan Vulpix into an Alolan Ninetails, much like how the Fire-type Vulpix needs a Fire Stone.
